About Houseboat Heaven

Houseboat Heaven was established in 2016 by John and Paula.

Our journey into Houseboat Heaven came after many years of our own experiences in hiring houseboats, giving us a true understanding of people’s needs and desires when houseboating.

Our previous careers in disability care have also given us an understanding of the difficulties faced by those with physical challenges when holidaying.

Our aim, therefore, is to provide houseboat holidays to all, with comfortable and well-maintained houseboats, that are fully equipped and clean.

We offer a high standard of service and go above and beyond for our clients. We accommodate those who have extra needs in their daily lives, including those in wheelchairs.

We also welcome pets aboard.

An amazing experience on this magical houseboat called Inclusion. 10 out of 10 rating 🥇 🏆 ✅ EVERYTHING you need, is on board this lovely clean & spacious houseboat! John & Paula went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed which included an electric high-low bed. The fully accessible bathroom was bigger than our modified bathroom in our own home lol 😜 Our 28yo son (NDIS Participant) has multiple & complex disabilities & thanks to NDIS we were able to hire this boat under STA as it is definitely VALUE FOR MONEY & EFFECTIVE & BENEFICIAL to our son & all! We were also able to fully fund one of his trained Disability Support Workers to join us as well, as the boat has 5 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms! Truly a magical stay & adventure enjoyed by all on the Mighty Murray in Renmark SA 🥰 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 👍👏👌👍👌👏👍👌👏👍👌👏

Awesome. We had an amazing 5 nights with this company, again. 7 years ago we hired this boat and had a great time, now done it again with some of the same people and it was excellent again. This time celebrating 2 very special people with 70th birthdays. The facilities are fantastic, as there was 1 person in a wheelchair. Too much food, drinks and fun had. NOT. We'll certainly be back, but not so long between visits. Loved every minute. Thanks John.

John's communication was fantastic, as was his company on board navigating the waters taking the stress out of the holiday. The accessible accommodation made it possible for my father to join the holiday who is a lower limb amputee. Many laughs, perfect weather, the sun sets and sunrises, the enjoyment of fishing was a fantastic way to spend quality time with family. The river is so peaceful. John went out of his way to make the holiday a special one, especially for the kids. 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for a unique way to holiday on the Murray.
